Healing 4 – A magickal technique of healing the mind

There is another technique you either will or will not get, and that is to ‘magickalise’ your healing. If you’re into ritual magick or rituals generally — or that kind of magickal inclination, you can personify these states as demons. The process of ritual magick is to draw a circle on the ground, open four elements in each quarter which represent the gateways to the external world, so everything within the circle is your inner-world, your consciousness. The goal is ‘exorcism’. You can consult a grimoire and find some demon that can represent the repeating state you want to ‘banish’, and actually perform the ritual in the grimoire (or make one up), imagining the ‘demon’ pushed out the circle.

The circle has divine names, which are mantras you can chant to give the ‘circle’ more power to keep the demon out, and so it is a replacement chant. When the state arises in the daytime, you can feel the sensations of it in your body and consider it like a possession, and use the divine names to expel it from your ‘circle’ body (the circle represents your aura), the demon is pushed outside the senses. You can visualise the demon. Think of the old horror films where some snarling vampire advances towards Van Helsing, who holds up a cross WITH STRONG FAITH AND EMOTION, and perhaps some magickal prayer. You need to evoke this strong feeling of mastery, instead of how the state would usually make you feel.

You could actually make a talisman with divine names of protection around the outer circle if that works for you, and the making of the talisman and the consecration carries a strong intent to heal the knotted energy in you and is a type of ‘wishing’ i.e. holding a sustained intention over time, just as if you were chanting.
