Healing 6 – Composite healing images

Another way to work with this same idea is to make a composite of a repeating thought. Say a memory comes up of something painful in the past, then you can make a composite of it. Say it’s an enemy that hurt you and you are always recalling their cruel acts as a moving daydream. Then mentally construct a picture of them, a static image, with an element of healing, like in a meditation position under a healing medicine Buddha or something, with the wish they are well. Then whenever any type of picture or moving memory of them comes up, hold this replacement thought until the thought-pressure recedes; this is healing.

You don’t push mental pictures away (which is repression) you transform the emotion associated with them, moment-to-moment, day-by-day, until you are free. Tarot cards, if you like this imagery, are a good way to practice this as the cards are designed to carry specific themes and so you can put yourself or others in them with an intention and recall this static image as a replacement thought. Also write this healing intention of a jpeg of the card and add it to any practice folder/vision board you are using.

If you are making physical pictures, or have some kind of actual shrine, then you can try putting the energy of an unhealed thought into a physical object that you leave on the shrine with the intention that it be healed. Hold an object, a symbol of healing for you, perhaps a suitable crystal, but it could be anything. Deliberately spark the mental pictures you want to heal and wait until the emotion you usually feel rises, then locate it’s sensation, and move this energy with an act of will, into the object SEE MY WRITING ABOUT WORKNG WITH ENERGY. Locate the mental picture of the past in your body, see that picture not as ‘just imagination’, but another reality existing, and through you it is dissolving and a pure energy is coming from that past, through your mind into your body, out your arms and into the object you are holding or touching. Make a mental request to the deity/energy of your shrine, that the pain be healed and the energy stays there, and then THE MEMORY OF THE OBJECT IS THE REPLACEMENT THOUGHT. If the memory spontaneously comes up in the future during the day, you recall the object on the shrine and hold that image until the thought-pressure recedes.
