Trance for Manifestation 3

The Two Ways You Are Creating Your Reality

One way is simply the mental diet. It is however true that the ‘light’ is existing within you at any time. So the states, and so mental pictures and self-concept you spend the majority of the time thinking about keep arising. This can be automatic based on past conditioning, or it can be by choice. The other way you create your reality is the state (and intention) you carry into this world with you when you enter it, i.e. lose consciousness.

Your consciousness has three types of control across two worlds. In the physical world you can choose to act in a certain way, or just be automatic. In the inner-world, things come up but you can also choose what comes up in your imagination. Then when you sleep, your consciousness still exists but the part that makes conscious choice, will, isn’t present and so you live in the dream world and it is automatic and is created according to how you’ve used your will in the past and what was previously created. Of course, you can have brief lucid experiences and astral projections, where you are existing in this world and have your will, the power to choose and create, but it generally isn’t the norm.

But there is a very important threshold between these two states where you are holding an intention, whether consciously created or not, your last self-concept before giving up will and entering the light completely for the night (and going to sleep and having a dream). This last self-concept held closest to entry into ‘the light’ (the dream-world) is very powerful, and this is why Neville Goddard emphasized the ‘State Akin to Sleep’ so much in his writing. His instruction was to construct a short, imaginary scene and to lose consciousness to sleep playing this scene repeatedly and so it will manifest then in your waking world.

It’s like that last intention is a communication between two worlds. You are taking a communication of your desire, a self-concept into the light, but it is actually two way, and this is something Neville Goddard I think didn’t talk about. You wake up in the morning with a very specific first state, a thought and/or feeling. Generally, most people aren’t particularly mindful first thing in the morning. I think I noticed this because I became obsessed with dreams and their interpretation when I was a teenager, and have written down every single dream I have remembered since then to this day. So being mindful over the course of my life I am very aware of a pre-existing state that you carry from the dream world into this one. So there is a two way communication.

The state you wake up with is a communication about what is stored in your light, the tendency. There isn’t a conscious control. When you are practicing this method, then very soon after waking you will control the state and live a life of mental discipline (mental diet) but that first state comes from the uncontrolled ‘state of your light’. That is what your state is. The total tendencies held in your own light out of all infinite possibilities.

So actually, the term ‘state akin to sleep’ is a little misleading, because if practiced according to Neville’s instructions, the end result is actually sleep. You are having a powerful effect on your ‘light’ losing consciousness (entering theta state) holding intention because it is the last self-concept closest to entering ‘the light’.

Now many people have a problem using the State Akin to Sleep as a night practice, because, for me, controlling the mind at night raises too much emotion in me and causes insomnia, and so it isn’t easy and being ‘on the scene’ I know very few people can naturally use this technique at night time when sleeping, which is a shame because it is the most powerful. The answer, which I’ve developed over the years, is to master the trance state.

I’ve put off mentioning trance for a long time because it puts most people off, but the fact is that most people have the wrong idea about trance. It’s mainly because of the popular understanding of hypnosis, that there are certain people that can and cannot be hypnotized (enter a trance) and it’s somehow genetic.

But the fact is that trance can be a practice. What that means is that, your mind is, everyday, naturally, accessing all brain states, beta, alpha, theta, deep sleep — and that you can practice daily to learn to access each of them at will. A practice is something you do daily and you get better over time. When I started this I couldn’t do it at all and was basically just lying on my back and visualizing in a normal, perhaps light alpha state, but now I lay down and can usually get pretty deep by just intending to. Like so many practices (including manifestation itself), the technique to master it, is eventually discarded. It took me many years, because the full technique that allowed me to do this didn’t exist. I developed it myself. If I had have had the technique I have developed and am about to present now, then I think it would have been a few months of daily practice, which is actually enjoyable and basically involves deeply relaxing. It is the technique I am about to present now.

A Personal Story about the Communication between two worlds

Before I present an overview of the technique, and then the technique itself, I want to give two examples from my own life about the communication between two worlds. I try not to make a big deal about it, but I was agoraphobic when I was a young teenager. When I was recovering, a friend invited me to stay at his place for a week as he was going through some personal issues and didn’t want to be alone. Well I found it very hard to go out and be in public at that time. He had similar issues but wasn’t aware how unwell I was. Already, I was well into manifestation and reality creating and, although unemployed and penniless, I had been practicing consciously creating a new life living in Asia, even though a few months previously I could barely leave my bedroom.

I stayed at his house one night, and it was so hard, I was trembling and panicking the whole time. I stayed awake all night and went home exhausted, giving up on the idea of staying with him any longer, but I fell asleep practicing a self-concept of living a new life, as was my nightly practice.

I wasn’t asleep long, a few hours, but I woke up with a feeling, a state, and it only lasted for a couple of seconds, but there was a knowing in me, an absolute and complete certainty, that everything (concerning my manifestation) was done and that I was on the way to a knew life in Asia. It was like a lightning bolt.

After a few seconds of the joy, it went, and the fear and trembling and panic attacks returned, but it was so inspiring I managed to get myself back to his house. I grew stronger. A bridge of incidents opened up and within a year I was living in South East Asia.

The second time I was living in Malaysia and had met, whom I thought was a soul-mate I had consciously created (although we argued quite a bit!). Well things weren’t working out and she was about to travel on alone and I fell asleep creating the self-concept I wanted, with my soul-mate. I woke up a few hours later, again with like a lightening bolt of energy, KNOWING with every ounce of my being, that it was all laid out for me and I was to be with my soul-mate.

I didn’t see her again that day but in the evening she was still there because she lost her moneybelt, it was snatched. She got it back via the police but her cards were cancelled and it took a bit of sorting out, and we hung out, reconnected, travelled on together, and I met my soul-mate later after she moved on and I was in another country, a country I hadn’t intended in going to but had accompanied her on her own travel plan.

So both times I had this strong experience of reality creation and both times I lost consciousness with strong emotion and intention, but not easy usually because strong emotion keeps us awake, until I developed my new technique.
